Safety First

Download Route File (.gpx)Starting just short of Sir William Hill you progress over Eyam Moor and down to the tranquil area of Stoke Ford. From here you gently ascend up through Abney Wood to Abney, then proceed along quiet country lanes before once again hitting sprawling moorland, passing Bleak Knoll.
A visit to the village of Great Hucklow allows you to top up on refreshments before hitting the final section of the walk that passes both the Barrel Inn pub and Sir William Hill.

Absolute garbage. No pdf to download, no directions coming soon or otherwise, and downloading the route file gives a load of programming.
Hi Kevin. I’m sorry you think the site is “absolute garbage”. Regarding your points… Firstly, if you print a hiking guide, you can create a PDF from there – there’s been special styling added to remove unwanted areas of the online version of a page to make the walks more printer-friendly. Secondly, most walks do have written directions, but a small few do not – this is a hobbyist site that is updated in my spare time. Rest assured, all directions will be added in due course. Thirdly, I can’t replicate the download issue, but happy to chat to solve it.
