Up Higger Tor

Walk 10: Hike Higger Tor, inc Stanage Edge

This epic hike rewards you with a taste of everything we love about the Peak District –  rugged edges, inspiring views, ancient woodlands, the sights and sounds of river wildlife, and cosy village cafes. Speaking of which, enjoy a halfway refreshment stop in the beautiful and historical Hathersage, where Robin Hood’s friend Little John is said to be buried.

Commencing from Longshaw Lodge, you head along a riverside path through Padley Gorge onto the wonderful village of Hathersage. From Hathersage, you continue to scale Stanage Edge and onto the mightly Higger Tor, before retracing your steps back to the car park.
